Optimizing Structural Parameters of PEMFC Based on Taguchi Method

Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has become one of the new energy vehicle powertrains due to its special advantages, such as no pollution environment, high efficiency and power density. In order improve performance, a three-dimensional simulation model actual PEMFC is constructed. Combined with mathematical models electrochemical current conservation model, calibrated by experiments. When working voltage 0.64 V, error results 0.73%, compared experimental data. Then, Taguchi method used design multi-factor multi-level orthogonal scheme PEMFC. Based on table, effects different anode wave channel distortion, gas diffusion layer thickness porosity density are studied experiment. The influence above factors experiment analyzed signal-to-noise ratio. regression equation obtained calculating t-test greater than 3.49, which indicates that each independent variable in important. R2 test 0.915, F 53.508, indicating significant optimal worst structural parameter combinations predicted. reaches 14,190.18 A/m2 under structure combination, 6.14% higher model. Single factor experiments carried out these three parameters verify effectiveness method, best combination obtained.
